The Importance of Regular Sight Tests
January 28, 2010 by: admin
As you go through life your eyes and vision will change, and you may find that you will need to start wearing glasses, or that the glasses you had before are no longer suitable. Regular eye tests look at both the health of your eyes and the extent of your vision, and can help to diagnose any potential eye problems early on, so that you can get immediate treatment to prevent the condition for getting any worse.
You should have a full eye test every 2 years, or more often if you have any existing eye problems. If you notice that your vision is getting blurry, or that your glasses no longer seem to work as well as they did before then you should book an eye test as soon as possible, as poor vision can strain your eyes and cause headaches and other problems.
If you wear contact lenses you will also need a regular contact lenses test, which is slightly different from a full eye test and should be carried out alongside your regular 2 yearly eye checkups.
