Widening participation and community outreach

We are committed to supporting students in Wales through the transition from school and college to higher education.

As Wales’ only Russell Group university we are committed to recruiting the brightest students from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on those groups who are under-represented in higher education.

We offer a wide range of programmes and outreach events that have been carefully designed to support students to achieve their full potential.

HIgher Education Roadshow

Pre-16 activities

Roadshows, visits and projects that help encourage young students in Wales to reach their potential.

Sixth form students engaged in a widening participation activity.

Post-16 activities

We also provide information and support to teachers and careers advisors to help prepare students for higher education.

We have developed strong partnerships with organisations to ensure that the programmes we deliver are as effective as they can be in delivering the best possible outcomes for you and your students.

If you think you and/or your students could benefit from our support, please contact us.
